What does it mean to be American?  Or Irish, Italian, Japanese, Cambodian, Egyptian, Chinese?  One part of our identities is determined by our ethnicity-- our national or cultural tradition.  But what does this really say about who we are?  How much of this is alive and vibrant in your life?  As you look at Ivanova's project, consider this essential question: how society integrates immigrants, and how immigrants change societies.
